Booth (“Booth”, “we”, “us”) is an iPhone and iPad photobooth app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have — written to be read by real people, not just lawyers.
We only collect data for features you actively use.
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | Only if you sign in (Apple/Google) to host a cloud event | Identifies your account so your events are yours to manage |
| Photos / video composites | Only when you publish a cloud event or use Develop Mode | So guests can receive the design and your developed strips can be delivered |
| Phone number | Only if you opt into a Develop-Mode SMS reveal | To text you a link when your photos develop |
| App-generated device identifier | When you use any cloud feature | A random UUID tying uploads to your device/event. Not Apple’s advertising identifier; not used for tracking |
| Event details you enter | When you design/publish an event | Invite code, logo, template, so guests inherit your design |
| Age confirmation | Once, before you first post to a shared wall | You confirm you’re 18+. We store that this account confirmed — not a birthdate |
On-device only (never sent to us): camera frames and photos you take stay on your device unless you choose a cloud feature; nearby live events use Apple’s local networking to talk phone-to-phone; optional content-safety pre-screening runs on your device. We do not collect precise location, and uploaded composites don’t carry the original photo’s GPS/EXIF data.
We use a small number of service providers to run these features, sharing only what each needs to operate the app:
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Deleting your account: in the app, open Design Your Booth → Broadcast this booth → sign in → Manage account → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and hosted events from our systems. You can also email us to request deletion.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest by our hosting provider. Access to stored content is restricted by row-level security and short-lived, signed links.
Booth is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Posting to a shared wall requires an account and confirming that you are 18 or older. Anyone under 18 must not post to a shared wall from their own account — an adult may post on their behalf. Taking, designing, printing, and saving photos on your own device has no age gate and sends nothing to us.
Events may photograph people of any age. If you host an event, you are responsible for obtaining any consent your event requires — especially where minors may be present, and before requesting a backup of your wall’s photos.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Delete your account in-app (above) or contact us for any request. We do not use your data for cross-app tracking, so no App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown.
We’ll update this page and change the effective date above when our practices change.
